I reinstalled my order forms and my site doesnt connect to paypal anymore?

I reinstalled my order forms and my site doesnt connect to paypal anymore?

I kind of, unsuccessfully edited my order002 form to incorporate mobile phone contract details. but my form skills arent the best...

Any good advice and guidance would be gratefully received?

Sorry - can you clarify this? Not sure what you mean.

Have you copied the original templates back into your site1 folder from the /Formats?Themes directory and found that the site no longer works?

I just went through talk-to-me and placed an order using test in all the required details boxes.

There was no choice of payment method ordered.

Can you check View | Business Settings, Payments and security tab - looks as though you have somehow lost the entries there.

Sorry, but those sound like the configuration settings for another PSP (or maybe Actinic encryption CC collection).

Paypal does not usually consist of options like that.

If you have more than one payment method setup, and paypal is one of them, then you should see something like the attached.

Your paypal settings are visible from 'configure method' when the line containing paypal is selected - no need to post those settings here - just confirm they are correct.

If the settings are correct, then close actinic, open C:\Program Files\Actinic v7\OCCUpgrade\OCCUpgrade.ini in notepad, increase the version number, save as type "all files", then reopen Actinic. It should prompt you that the PSP settings have changed.

There is no price on the items in the cart - what pricing method are you using?

By inserting prices into the price box on the product details

On the general tab, (but I have cleared the tick box on the design options, Misc, display prices). Then I insert the prices into the 'full desc' box on the product details.

I thought this wise as I have to charge a fee (£2.50 at present) for a CVV2 check for contract phones. For a dry run so-to-speak of the direct debit channel.

I hope this makes sense. It seems like sense to me and my work mates..?

When I said method, I was thinking more of something like the attached screen capture.

If your products have no optional (priced) components, you will not have this choice shown.

Try re-enabling Display prices and let's see what that looks like.

                        Hi,

The setup looks fine to me. Went onto the site and placed an order too. There is an issue with the checkout pages, Act_Order02, you have moved over some of the variables or changed the text display, because the field you have for the email address is not the correct one, as the form still requires you to fill in an email address in the actual email address area. I would suggest using NETQUOTEVARELIVERPROMPT012 for the email address field, you can move it whererever you want to on the page as long as the variable is consistent.

                        Kind regards,
                        Bruce King

                          Thank you Mr King!

hopefully now I have all the jigsaw pieces to make my site a bit more of a pretty picture.

                            Sorry just to clarify...

I am unsure about the old act-order 2 set up so I was thinking of reinstalling from the original.

Unfortunately I was editing in dreamweaver and made my backup (like-a-good-coder-should...) then got busy and distracted, then closed down my dreamweaver at the end of the day and foolishly saved over my backup with my f**kup!!!

so I have installed actininc catalog on another machine and copied over the act-order files and was then about to copy them into all of the relevant folders...

                            It this OK?

Is there anything I should be aware of before I continue?

Am I going to open a can of worms and create a bigger bomb site? or is it a stressfree thing?

                            Thumbs up or thumbs down?

IF you have copied across all the Actinic security codes etc to the right places and setup the network settings identical to the first machine and put your merchant ID's in and made the changes needed in OCCUpgrade.ini then you should be OK.

If you use a floppy to copy the order02.html from the new machine back across to the first machine then you will definitely be OK.
