Configuring SSL & SMTP

I want to configure Actinic 7 to process orders using our secure server space at www.secure-server.co.uk but I have absolutely no idea where to start.

We also need Actinic to email us when an order comes in, but when I try to enter the ftp details, it gives me an error message telling me I need to configure an SMTP server to process.

I'm a beginner at this kind of thing - how on earth do I go about it?

Then click your 'orders tab' by your content tab (above your content tree window).

as to your email set up I'm unsure. what are your details???

Hi,

You will need to set up Actinic to be SSL. Go into View | Business Settings | Payment & Security .. SSL , Check on and choose 'Checkout pages and customer login only'. You will now see that in Advanced | Network Setup, you have a 'Standard' and 'SSL' tab. You will need to input settings for your SSL site here.

On the standard site as it is now, without SSL, when you do a test, on the Network Settings window what happens?

SMTP for Netbenefit should be set to mailhost.netbenefit.com. I think you might also be as well setting up your own secure area instead of relying on Netbenefits shared SSL, cant remember what the price difference is though! Your settings for your secure area would then be exactly the same as your normal settings but starting with https instead of http.
