    Section name length workaround problem

    Hi

I have used the workaround in this post but have hit a friday afternoon snag!

I have created a customvar called secname and am using it in Act_ParentSectionThis (which I'm then CSSing into a blue bg header bar for each page) with nothing in Act_ParentSectionSeparator or Act_ParentSectionLink.

I have sections with subsections which hold each product, plus perhaps a few related products, manuals etc. This gives 1 (or a few) products per page.

This was working fine but somewhere along the line the section header (secname) has become the secname for the last sub-section on the section page. That is, each section page seems to be picking up the secname of its last child sub-section, rather than using its own.

I'm pretty sure that this method was working fine, but something changed! I have recently been adding products to the subsections (I think it was still working after this) and then fragments to the sub-secs.

    Any ideas?

    Many thanks, Dan

Dan - which version of v7 do you have? This was a known issue which I though had been resolved with the 7.0.4 upgrade

Don't forget to do a full folder copy in case you have any modified .pl scripts which tend to get reset bacl to the originals during an upgrade - these are not caught in a snaphot
