Source file of 'Act_SectionLine.html and others ...

    Hi All,

During my demoing of Actinic, everytime i reload a Theme, any mods done to any template html in Site 1 is lost ??????

Would it not be better to edit the source files, if so where are they ?

I can edit Site 1 files by clickingon the selected EDIT buttons, but as i mentioned keep losing mods?

There are clearly loads of such html pages, and they are reloaded from somewhere when i reload a theme and they are not all part of the theme content.

    Any help out there ?

    Cheers, SImon.

Everytime you load a new theme it will over ride any existing templates created. That's, I guess, because each theme is different.

You have to save a theme if you want to re-use it again at a later date. What version are you using? There are some aspects of themes that are only available on Business and Developer editions.

Basically if you save a them you can then re-import it, with all template edits intact.

No - because if it does go pear shaped you would not be able to get back to a clean starting point. When you change theme you should have the option to create a backup point - alternatively make a copy of any template changes before changing theme.

As different themes can have much different template layouts it may not always be wise to bring in the template from 1 theme into another (most are cross compatible but just be aware)

I am still only demoing ...

        mac-man,

Still demoing at the mo so i guess I won't be able to export a theme just yet ?

I guess i have to make sure i am happy with a theme before i start to modify templates, so as not to reload a different one later.

No worries, but thanks for the advice, Simon.
