Product Matching for Pre ordered products

I run a high street retail and mail order business , selling Models & Toys.

Until the advent of E commerce , we had been succesfully selling models to clients worldwide using mail outs and magazine advertising, and using a computer system that handled , orders , payments and despatches.

We now also use Actinic for our internet orders and are very pleased . My problem for which I am seeking advice is as follows.

Approximately 50% of our business involves customers pre ordering new models from our catalogue , which have not yet been released by the manufacturer. When a model/s comes in to stock, we fulfil these pre-orders.

Our problem is that approximately twice a month we take deliveries of between six to twelve new models , and several of our customers require SOME or ALL of these models. The computer programme that we have been succesfully using allows us to enter the product codes and quantity of all the new models delivered , we then click our ' Product Match ' icon , and we get individual print outs of customers requirements who have ordered any of these new releases together with their cc details , finally we then print out sheets of adhesive address labels.

I was wondering if anybody knows whether there is an actinic package that can handle that requirement , or whether we have to continue using the two systems in tandem.

At present when customers pre- order on Actinic , we print off their requirements , then enter their orders into our existing mail order programme which allows us to product match when the product is released by the manufacturer and then process the orders.

Thank you for taking the time to read this post , I hope some body can help.

    Regards MUSTANG

    Hi Christopher,

have you seen the range of actinic plugins that Jan has over at http://www.mole-end.biz/ - not sure if these are exactly suitable but are well worth checking out as a starting point
