Adding a sub section so that they add to the bottom of the stack....

If I have a section called Section 1, that has lots of subsections 1.1, 1.2, 1.3, 1.4, etc.

    Section 1
    >>>>>sub 1.1
    >>>>>sub 1.2
    >>>>>sub 1.3
    >>>>>sub 1.4
    >>>>>sub 1.5

and have stacked these in order as i want them displayed on the section page, great.

    But why is it that if I add sub 1.6, it will actually stacks as follows;

    Section 1
    >>>>>sub 1.6
    >>>>>sub 1.1
    >>>>>sub 1.2
    >>>>>sub 1.3
    >>>>>sub 1.4
    >>>>>sub 1.5

    Which is therefore wrong ?

How do you add new products without causing disruption to section stacks that your happy with ?

(I did notice that I can set 'List Placement' to 'Top', 'Bottom', etc but this does nothing but turn the stack on its head and does not resolve the 'stack order' issure.)

Could save me hours of shuffling every time i add a product, if you know how to get around this ?

    Cheers, Simon.
(P.S. If anyone tells me to get organised, i'll scream! I am trying to get organised but there's always that one product that you decide to move around later.... you know it!)

    This may help:

Make the new section, then hold the shift key down, and drag it onto the section just above where you want it to be inserted.

    - It doesn't solve your problem fully but it saves having to move all the sections around just trying to get one new section into the position you want it.

If you have the focus on the sub-section above where you want the new sub-section to appear then right click and create a new SECTION this will then appear beneath as your new sub-section

Jan also has a utility to rearrange sections over at www.mole-end.biz

        Cheers to you both.
Jont, your idea works the best, and I will use it in future.
