Can someone please help with actinic link

    Hi hopefully you can help.

Actinic have not been able to help with this and another problem since I bought business version 3 months ago.

When I export to actinic link all looks well, however when I try to import into quickbooks nothing appears.

    Hi There,

Would like to clarify a few things first off, have all of the csv files been created by the export. Does Link create an IIF file for Quick Books to import? Link for QuickBooks does not transfer customer accounts to QuickBooks and so does not require the Buyers.csv file. Does the import to Quick Books take place at all?

Can you check at exactly what stage does the error get reported? i.e.
which application Actinic, Actinic Link or QuickBooks?

    Kind regards,

      Bug in Quickbooks ?

When dealing with this exact same problem for a client (ongoing) I contacted Actinic support and was told that this is a bug in QuickBooks. Apparently it was a bug in 2004 QB and this is apparently now the case in 2005.

What on earth is going on here? Actinic advertising that Actinic Link will provide the route to easy integration and import of orders into QB's and yet it apparently hasn't worked for over a year! ?

Can we have some urgent clarification on this please!

        Hi there

Here are the details of the issue within Quickbooks that is causing the problem.
There are three types of way to transfer orders into Quickbooks - 'Invoices', 'Sales Receipts' and 'Sales Orders'. You can select which one of these gets used within the 'Transaction Types' tab of Actinic Link. The problem is that QuickBooks UK 2004 and 2005 cannot import Sales Order - but Invoices and Sales Receipts import OK.

I guess the reason that Intuit are taking their time fixing the problem is that they do not have a huge amount of UK customers importing in this way. But hopefully they will fix it soon.
