CGI Script Problems

Hi

Have just purchased v7 as a package deal for Claranet (wish I had visited the forum first on that one) It seems to be a common a problem on the upload of the website not being able to find and run the CGI scripts, but having read all the replys i still cannot get my head round it at all. Anyone have a laymans answer please, desperate to get the shop live. Thanks in advance

Is it a shared web area you have with Clara?

You need to be sure they have set up the CGI-BIN directory correctly. Running Advanced > Network Setup > Test will show if it is or not.

Are you getting an error message, if so can you post a screen shot of it.

From memory my CLARA site did not have a cgi-bin directory created - I had to FTP to the site and created one in the public/www/ so the path becomes public/www/cgi-bin
