Removing a Product line when using components

I wondered if it's possible for the top line of a product with attribute sections to be removed from an order?

For instance, I've made a 'Blue Heatshrink' product 999903 at the top right of this page http://www.kustompcs.co.uk/acatalog/...shrink_14.html , and hidden three products which are defined as attributes. (24xx)

Ideally, the customer can choose the correct size of product from the drop down menu and that's what would go into the basket and ultimately into Sage.

Two lines appear in the cart and invoice though

    eg

    999903 Heatshrink Blue 1
    2449 100mm - Heatshrink: 2.5mm 1

Is it possible to have just the attribute assosciated product name / price / quantity displaying, eg hiding the top line?

I've looked through actinicorder.pm but find the code somewhat baffling so not really sure if there's something in there I can comment out !

Thanks in advance if anyone can help !

Hi Gillian - Thanks, I did already see that thread but it's not exactly what I'm looking to do.

Instead of having, showing in the basket

      99903 Heatshrink Blue 1 £0.20
      2449 Heatshrink :2.5mm 1

I was hoping to get just

      2449 Heatshrink :2.5mm 1 £0.20

Eg this is showing the product assosciated with the component attribute of item 99903 , and pointing directly to our stock code.

With the orignal template it ends up splitting the product over two 'lines' on the invoice which is a bit confusing.

        Yes.

Set pricing to be 'sum of component prices' and tick the box marked 'no order line for main product'

Ah, fantastic. I thought I had already tried that, but clearly not !

I guess there's just too many buttons to remember...

Thanks for your help, it's sorted now.
