Hi all,

My store has sections, laid out in rows of two on my store front page.
I'm now trying to add a few lines of text at the very top, before the first section to announce some changes to our store.

I've tried adding a fragment and also a product to achieve this. However, when I add these they show up at the very bottom of the front page, not the top. No amount of dragging and dropping seems to put them up on top as the first item on the page.

Any suggestions as to what is the best way to add some full width text up on the top??

Marketing message

Hi,

Try View | Bussiness Settings | Terms and Conditions | Marketing Message click on "New" to add your own text.

The message appears at the top of some pages and the bottom of others, but would at least get you started.

Thanks Gillian, that one crossed my mind also but I want this message only to appear on the store front in a sort of 'hit you in the face' way.

We also already use the marketing message for something else, hence the need to add something different that stands out on the front page.

There must be a way of displaying a product (with the appropriate layout format) or a fragment on top of any section links, surely! Just that the way it's done eludes me for now.

You can do this easily by adding a message to Design / Options / Shop Defaults tab in the header field.
