Cannot download orders - all Pending orders have dissappeared!!!

On attempting to download our orders, we received the errors in this order:

"The record is deleted"

"An unexpected database error occurred while reading the order"

"An error occurred while downloading order number DC20JT60010588.
The order may have been corrupted in transfer from the server."

"Error accessing database records. Try restarting the program. You may need to recover from a previous version of the databases"

Therefore we are unable to download any new orders (there are 10 waiting to download) and have had to turn off ordering.

However, during these errors ALL of our Pending Orders have disappeared from the 'Pending' tab in our orders. Therefore we are unable to do any business, or fill orders which have already been placed.

We have submitted a support query but are in desperate help of a fix to this - it certainly isn;t the first problem we have had recently since downloading version 7.0.5 (search for my previous postings to see other problems).

If anyone has a fix then please let us know!!!!

Don't panic too much yet because it sounds as if the orders are still on the database even though you cannot see them in the order tab.

The first thing to try is to compact and repair your database - take a copy of it first as a backup.

If this doesn't work then you have probably got an invalid order on your database and it stopping the other orders downloading. So you (or Actinic maybe if they already have a support call in) would need to work out which order is causing the problem and remove it from the database.

While you are wating for your database to be fixed, you might be able to access your existing orders using our One Stop Order Processing application - it has a free trial (if you have already tried it and your free trial has run out email pat @ mole-end.biz and he will be able to send your a new trial license) so you can try this without spending money. Thanks for the info Jan - I managed to get the orders pening out late last night by getting the Order Sequence number from the Order Table in the database, and then cross referencing that against the Order Details table. Strangely though, one of the orders was exactly duplicated, and then after that none of the other orders existed in the Order Detail Table.

Will give what you mentioned a try - we did have a free trial of your Order Processing so may well be in contact with Pat later today.

You might find that if you remove one of the duplicated orders and then remove the orders that have no entries in the order detail table that your site will start to work again.

An unexpected database error occured while reading the order

We had this problem on our website and were unable to download any of the orders. The orders were changed to ORDX on the server. The solution to our problem was to delete all orders in all the tabs and purge the system, then go onto the server and rename the ORDX to ORD and download orders again.
