    Filling up Title Boxes

    Hi All
I am trying to put some images and text in the two tables on the RHS and LHS of the design (Left Title and Right Title).
I edited Act_PrimaryBrochure.html and added some data in the rows of these tow tables and saved it under a new name...then selected it under Desig/Options/Brochure/Overall Layout...
Nothing happens and when I edit P_Index.html I dont see the changes that I put in...
    Any ideas...many thanks

    Hi,

Looks like you are using the Smart theme, in which case you can change those values in Design | Options | Site Defaults.. you can change the text in the value field and see it reflected on the preview within Actinic, if you have your images within the Site1 folder then all you need to do is refrence the image name in html and make sure the image is available in the PreviewHTML folder to enable you to see it on preview.

    Kind regards,

Bruce you are right..its a simple theme that I can modify...now what I have done is modify Act_PrimaryBrochure.html and made some mods to the boxes...saved the new as Act_PrimaryBrochure_new.html. Then I went into Design/Options/Brochure/Overall Layouts and selected the new Act_PrimaryBrochure_new.html. The changes did not show up...I dont know why...but I eventually got it to work by modifying and saving the original Act_PrimaryBrochure.html under its own name. It now works ...Can you explain that one...
      cheers

        Hi Steve,

I'm afraid that I can't explain why that is happening to you. I have just tried the same as you described but the changes show up for me with the Act_PrimaryBrochure_New.html template. What exact changes did you make? Maybe you could post the code up of the Act_BrochurePrimary_New.html template that you created.

            Hi,

Can you upload your template please (you may have to rename it with a .txt extention).

                Hi,

I have copied your template into my Site1 folder and refreshed the preview and the changes are there. Can I just check that you are refreshing the preview after you have saved the changes in the template?

Thanks alot..it seems that the problem has gone away now..cheers ...much thanks for your help...
I want to ask you a question about these vars NETQUOTEVARS..they are positional right..so if i change their position in the code, it would upset things?
                  cheers

                    Hi,

It would depend on which NETQUOTEVAR you wanted to move. For example in the product line template you could easily move NETQUOTEVAR:PRODUCTIMAGE (for the product image) but you wouldn't want to move NETQUOTEVAR:NEXT. For a list of what each variable does you can check the 'NETQUOTEVAR DICTIONARY' section from the Advanced User Guide (downloadable from here), or check the 'Help | Help Topics' menu. The templates are all listed under the 'Index' tab and the definitions of each variable for these templates is shown.
