    Maestro / Switch Number Check

We have found that people with issue # / 18 digit cards can get away with entering 17 digits (or possibly less).

    Doesn't Actinic verify these?

First I have heard of it but let me check.

    Kind regards,

      Hi Alistair,

Please ignore order number BK354620055287 as I had placed a test order on the site. Checking the perl code the checksum is done for all the digits, but there
is no restriction on how many they can enter as far as they have the right
combination, so I can enter 1111222233334444 and 11112222333344440,
111122223333444400 and all accepted. You will also notice the number I used on the test order, I guess this is because you use the inbuilt encryption. If you require that all customers muxt validate the card number and enter the correct one, you will have to use an online Payment Service Provider.

      Kind regards,

Thanks Bruce - much as I suspected.

We have just escaped from Worldpay to our own SSL and backoffice cc psp and won't be going back.
