Actinic store images not showing in html newsletter emails

    Hi,

I've just started using Actinic Catalogue, so I'm new to all this!

I want to be able to send an html newsletter to my customers - that includes images from my Actinic store.

These include the odd product image, but more importantly, my company logo (I'm using my Actinic Store as my home page, so don't have any non-actinic pages I can link to).

I'm having trouble getting the link to work - in other words the images aren't showing.

I'm sending my newsletter using an online mailing service i.e. not through actinic.

    Can anybody help please?

Images are normally stored in the acatalog directory of your website. Can you post a link to your site and an example of the image link you're using and we'll take a look for you.

Might be worth bearing in mind that apparently the latest version of Outlook bars access to images linked to in HTML emails by default. If you are using this version to look at your own emails this might be the problem, also unfortunately it might be that the days of "rich" mass emails are passing.

More detail on my last comment - Outlook Express (and probably Outlook) bars external images and content by default on an SP2 XP PC :

or search "outlook html image default"

          Thanks for the fast response!

All sorted now, thanks for being so helpful anyway. I will take a look at the article on html emails.
