Separate Postage Rate

Our current site has free delivery on all products, this was done to keep things simple, but we now need to charge delivery on a couple of bulky items.

How can I still offer free delivery on everything apart from specific products ?

Ship by weight
make the default 0kg
make the one's to charge for 1.0kg
set up shipping table to charge for the 1kg items
