stupid question to do with search engines

HI,
Im sorry if this sounds stupid but i haven't been able to find the answer.

Im signing up to all the search engines and i was wandering if i have to sign up to both google.com and google.co.uk or just one of them. The same goes for yahoo. Also do i have to sign up with both url's. e,g i have www.toolbox37.com and toolbox37.co.uk. I only ask as i've read you should only sign up once on google.

I know the answer for this is probably obvious so sorry about this.

Do you have a unique site under each .co.uk and .com, or does one redirect to the other, or are you using the exact same content under both domains, which 'word has it' can get your sites classed as trying to spam the engines.

Generally, load it into 1, with that being your primary domain one and it should be fine... Caution being the better idea I think.
