One shot Voucher system

Now I know this may have been done before but I couldnt find an answer.....

I am using V7 and what I want to do is to create a 'one shot' coupon code i.e. a gift voucher that would deduct say £10.00 at the checkout. I can see how it works in principle but I can's see a way to cancel the coupon code when it has been used.

Any one got a suggestion.

Only manually, you can print out a report of vouchers that have been used and take them off the system and then upload to remove it from the system, someone could in theory place lots of orders using the same voucher and you would have to generate a lot of vouchers in the first place.
