Collecting information.......

On the page just before payment processing within the catalogue online it asks the buyer how they heard about us (Our site) Where is this information sent to? as I cannot see it anywhere in downloaded orders and would value that information very highly.

Can anyone help?

It shows when you view the order.

Click the Orders tab in Actinic, then double click an existing order (pending, complete or pending PSP) and look at the contents of each tab. You'll see a whole tab devoted to this response.

Many Thanks for your reply but that drew a blank. maybe if you did a dummy order on my site you will see what I am talking about.
I would love to have that info (Marketing purposes) and am stuck.
Any more suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Since you only have paypal as a payment option on a pretty anonymous looking site, I think perhaps you might want to place any dummy order yourself using your own money.

We have a report in our free plugin library that analyses the information in that field, you can get access to the library by joining the Mole End mailing list and following the instructions you receive after that.

The information is also displayed on the data entry report and the packing list report.

It is displayed in the order details dialog in Actinic, on the miscellaneous tab - you will only see it if someone has actually entered some information, if they haven't entered anything then the heading is hidden.

Sorry but I think you took that the wrong way. The site is not anonymous, it is a new site and I am new to actinic so was asking for help.
In saying create a dummy order I meant cancel it before going through to pay pal where it asks for card details. I was not asking for anyone to pay for or order anything. All of the info on the company is on there so I am not quite sure what you are talking about in using the word anonymous.

I took it the only way it could be taken. While in test/construction mode, especially if asking for help, it would be normal to have a non-immediate payment method, such as cheque with order, enabled so the checkout process can be completed without cost.

I found no Company name, no contact details and no about us link - and yes, I spat the dummy out. When you say the info is there - I take it you mean you have now added the detail to View | Business settings and uploaded.

Enable another payment method and I'll run you a dozen tests.

The reason the only way to pay was buy pay pal is because I had someone order goods by way of a pending card process which I have decided I do not want to do.
I have since run dummy runs my self and have seen that the page I am talking about occurs before any order is placed or any money details are taken. That is what I meant.
In doing my dummy run I have now seen where the data is viewed and have established the fact that the person who oredered must not have filled in those details hence I could not see it.
The main site is biketalk.co.uk have a look ! ( I am still in the process of adding content. I have to start somewhere as this whole project has cost me a lot of money)
I am new to this whole thing of web design and actinic/ecommerce and am learning all the way but doing it all myself.
The only thing I can tell you about is everything motorcycle as I have been in the trade for some 20 years and decided to embark upon setting up my own company.

The info on the company has always been there but I believe there was a server problem as I could not connect to it earlier today either as I wanted to add a new product I have, so that maybe the reason you could not see any details but I can assure you they have always been there.

Going in through the fron page is indeed a different experience. I am not normally a supporter of flash, but your use is appropriate to the site and loaded quite quickly.

I took the liberty of borrowing your flash embed code for another user who is having difficulty setting up his swf file.
