Moving within a month / Pre-ticked tick box

Hi

1. I am currently using the Moving with a Month as my "Marketing Opt in" box. I would like to make the box preticked (e.g. if the customer wants to not opt in to my marketing they must uncheck).

Can anyone one which code I need to amend and how to make the box pre-ticked? Many thanks.

2. General advice about using the Moving within a month box? I dont think I will use this feature due to the nature of m products / delivery times. Therefore I intend to use it for my marketing opt in. Is this strategy sound? Should I use/create a different box?

I appreciate 1 draw back is that a moving with a month note appears on the invoice which I will need to change.

Can anyone see anyproblems in using this "Moving in one month" field for my marketing opt in/out data?

Will I be able to automatically isolate "checked" boxes and obtain the email adresses from them?

I can see no problems with using this field for marketing purposes. You can change the text on the reports to say 'join mailing' list of whatever you like in design text.

The keep contact private is used for this purpose more often. We have integrated this field into our One Stop Marketing product, it can automatically check this field as it creates your mailing lists.
