    Alphabetical listing

Does anybody know an easy way of having an A - Z index of products as an alternative way of visitors drilling down thro products?

I can make new sections with duplicate products in for A, B, C etc but this would be very time comsuming and I wondered if there was a 'quick way'.

I am integrating an Actinic chop into an existing site and they want to keep their A - Z drill down - http://www.advfilms.co.uk/CATALOGFilms.asp?Cat=A

    Thanks

    Hi there.

I just had a look at your site and I must say it looks fantastic.

I have no idea how to do what you ask, BTW, but if you get an answer I'll be interested to hear how it's done too!

We have a tool that will do this quickly and easily for you at Mole End, it is our catalog sorting tool, you can use it to sort products within a section or sections within a catalog. You can find more details and a free trial at this URL :

Thanks Jan, I'll have a look at that - do you think I'll be able to easily replicate the existing alphabetical menu on the site using your tool?

To replicate that you would have to make a section for each letter of the alphabet and duplicate the appropriate sections into there - you would then need to update your index to point to the right place, so the answer is yes, you can do it, but it would not be a quick and easy fix.
