Search result links don't work

Hi Folks,

I've had this before but never worked out what fixed it - heres some search results -

http://www.totallytrains.co.uk/cgi-b...&ACTION=Search

For me at least the resulting links are in the format -

http://www.totallytrains.co.uk/acata....php#a36_2d872

Which is obviously invalid - what could be causing it?

The hyphens are being converted into escaped html characters. The only way I know to get away from this is to rename the pages (with 301 redirects required to maintain search engine links).

Sorry chap thats not the cause... What I mean is this:

See how its concatenated the bold part (the products info page link) and the desination pagename...

Its an invalid URL, two pagenames being mistakenly concatenated causing the link to fail...

All the links on the example page linked through OK for me using FireFox

I am not seeing the /info/ directory at all

Not seen the effect you refer to at all. First time I tried I got the escaped html and the link did not work. Second time it did (Opera). You haven't deleted the spacing in results.html have you?

Cheers Jont, there is no info directory - thats the problem with the results, they include the info page into the url and thus it looks as though there is an info directory. Frustrating eh!

The problem is definitely intermittent though - seems to clear if I remove session files from the server

My Act_ResultsTemplate.html contains the following line

<Actinic:S_LINK/><B><Actinic:S_PNAME/></B></A> <Actinic:S_SNAME/> <Actinic:S_PRICE/> <BR>

I wonder if the results run together if the spaces are removed, but would expect it to happen every time if this was the cause. Worth a check anyway, but unlikely to be the full solution.
