Actinic 4 - change of hosting

Having rececently changed hosting from Claranet to Catalyst for a client, I re-configured our host machine with the correct Network settings. After some fiddling, I eventually managed to get them to work and uploaded changes to the web site and managed to retrieve a test order. However, having entered the same settings on the clients PC it refuses to download orders or pass the test in Network Settings - rerturning Error 400. Any ideas??

It could be a coms problem, it might be something else.

Can you be a bit more specific on where the network test fails and what the error message is ?

      Re

      Hi

It seems to fail on the cgi script settings with the reply "The web server returned an unexpected error. The server response was 400 - Bad Request. Run Web | Configure Web Site Details... to review your web site configuration."

This is odd because the settings on the host pc are exactly the same and they work!

Strange one. It certainly doesn't seem very helpful.

Assuming that your clients PC worked OK with the previous host, I would focus on the network settings first. You say they needed some fiddling with which might suggest it's worth taking another look. Can you post the network settings here for someone to look at?

              This bit looks wrong:

Path From CGI)BIN To Catalog Directory: ../wwwroot/acatalog/
If the path to the cgi-bin is:

              Path to CGI-BIN: wwwroot/cgi-bin/
then the path from cgi-bin to acatalog should be ../acatalog/

thanks for your help - managed to sove the problem by reloading Actinic on both pcs and the network settings worked. Very odd though!!
One other problem that arose was the message that pops up warning that Java is not enabled when customers try to enter credit card details. I need to update the wording on that page - any idea where I can edit the text??

                  Glad you got it working.

In V6 I'd look in 'design text' and do a search for a portion of the phrase. I can't remember if this feature is in V4 or not.

no - not in my version and still can't find it. I'm assuming it's in a script somewhere as I've trawled through all I can find. Must be thre somewhere though!
