Control of 'Contact Us' in navigation items

I notice in the guide a recommendation to use a javascript to reduce the number of opportunities for email harvesters.

Whilst I can add the script to Act_Primary.html is this the best place?
Also how do I stop the standard Act_NavigationItem.html continuing to call up its version of 'contact us'?

Adding to the Act_Primary will put the email address on every page which is probably not a bad idea if you need people to email you quickly.

The contact us link uses a perl script so no "mailto" tag for harvesters to grab
