Quantity of optional extras

hello,
i am trying to add quantity options to optional extras on an item, but can't figure out how.
It is a staircase kit and has the option of adding up to 3 extra treads to adjust the height and an unlimited number of Banister kits. Any ideas?

Hi,

You will have to choose a pricing option of 'Sum of Product and Component Prices'. Under the component you have set as optional, create an attribute and then choices below this attribute for the extra treads. If they are to be priced extra you can click on the permutations tab on the component ( appears once you have created an attribute and choices) and click on fill list, here you can assign the prices for the choices so that they work as Product price + choice price. Another Attribute for the Bannister's and create choices there. On the attributes against 'Select Using' choose 'Drop down list' so a person can choose the number required.
