Use of Paypal in Version 5

We intend to use Paypal in order to process our credit card payments.

Certain details in the manual appear different from what we actually have in our version,e.g. Paypal is not on any list I can see as a Payment Method.

I would be grateful if someone could confirm waht is necessary to set up credit card payments via Paypal in this version and also.......

Since the processing of the payment takes place on the Paypal site presumably SSL is not needed. Is this the case ?

The ability to use Paypal as a payment provider was not introduced until V6.
