Free shipping for one zone only when calculating by weight

Hi All

When calculating shipping charges based on the weight of an order, I see that there is an option to specify free delivery over a certain value (in pounds).

This is great, except that we only want to apply free delivery on one zone. Unfortunately, the "Free Delivery Over" option applies itself to all zones.

Is there a patch/hack available that will allow us to apply free delivery to just one zone?

P.S. I realise I can do this if we base our shipping charges on order value. But the point is that we want to base our shipping charges on order weight.

If every shipment in the zone is free, just create a shipping class for that zone that has a cost of 0.00 and make sure that the class applies to only that zone, and that this is the only class that applies to that zone.

Unfortunately, we need to apply shipping charges on all zones based on weight.

It is only on one zone (UK) where we want to offer free delivery if the order value (in pounds) is over a certain amount.

Any ideas anyone?
