Using store as a catalog only

I am wondering if it is possible for someone to use an Actinic store as a catalog only?

Meaning I don't want online ordering and payment. I still want to be able to upload items with a description and photo, search for items, but just leave out any ordering and adding to basket options for the time being.

Hopefully later on this site we could then add back in any online ordering functions the client might want to use in the future.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Yes this is possible, you just run catalog with ordering suspended.

We have a client who has run his catalog like this for 4 years. He sells JCBs etc so can not realistically expect people to use a CC to buy equipment at £5000 a pop. Coupled with the fact that he does alot of business in Eastern Europe.

He uses catalog to show his current stock and each product has an email link for enquiries

If you make the price of all products zero you can use the add to cart to give a request more information sort of function, which may or may not be useful to your customer.

How do you change it so that instead of reading "Catalogue Suspended" it says "Email for more information" ?
