    Distance Selling Regulations

I am trying to gain a clear understanding of the legalities of Internet trading and would be grateful for any help anyone can provide with the following queries.

For items sold from a website is it a mandatory requirement to detail or give a link to the distance selling regulations, or is it a suggestion in the way of good practice

If you make your terms and conditions say that all purchases are final, is a customer still entiltled to a seven day cooling off period.

    Thanks

    Chris

In a word, YES! (unless you happen to sell something that is exempt)
Read the link given in previous post though... the DSRs are pretty straightforward but are certainly in the favour of the consumer and NOT the retailer!
      As you'll find out!!

There are some items in there to protect the supplier (bespoke products for example) - may be useful to add into the customer receipt email so they have a copy and also eases any questions the buyer may have on returns policies etc
