Error importing actinic.csv

Hi

I am trying to import the actinic.csv file from a client. We have both updated to version 7.05. On trying to import as a hierarchical file I get the following error box:

'Line 5 the record ‘price’ is not supported by this version of Actinic'
OK

Obviously I have to hit the OK bitton and then nowt happens.

Very important that I get this sorted out quickly.

Can you post the first 10 - 20 lines of your file, it sounds as if you are trying to import a line starting with Price, which isn't valid but a quick look would confirm this.

Thanks for the reply. Please see attacahed .csv saved as tab delimited .txt

See what you can do, it's got me and a a developer friend stumped and we've both designed loads fo Actinic sites.

There are two sets of header records at the top of the file, I removed the extra set and it imported fine here (I didn't try to import image fields because obvisouly I don't have them here).

The only other thing that I did was to remove the extra tabs at the very end of the file.

When you say two sets of header records what exactly do you mean. I appreciate that you have sorted the problem I just need to know how to do this myself.

A hierarchical file has two parts to it, the 1st part is the header records, where you specify what type of data you will be including in the file and also want information you will supply for each item of the data, the second part it the data itself.

In your file you have details for the headers, section, product etc and then you have the same information all over again. You just need to delete the second set.
