    Clearing residual data

    Hi,

I seem to have a problem where every time I visit our website, www.red5audiousa.com, it shows in the menu section that I have 1 Item with a Value of $21.05. However, when I click on View Cart, there is nothing there.

It relates to a dummy order made some time ago while in Test Mode and which was subsequently deleted. Other test orders have since been made but they were cleared as normal.

I've gone into I.E. and deleted files and cookies and when I click on View Files, again there is nothing.

I'm not too concerned about it appearing on my PC but obviously do not want returning customers having the same thing happening. Does anyone have any ideas about this?

    Regards,

    Alistair

Try going to Products, click view cart, then click Retrieve - does a saved item appear? Remove - update - save. See if the problem recurs.

      Thanks Bill, for your reply.

I've tried your suggestion but it looks as if Retrieve is not functioning at all.

I even placed an item into the cart, removed it and updated but when I tried to Retrieve, I couldn't. The only option available to me was Continue.

      Regards,

      Alistair

OK, my mistake. I had not saved the item before removing and updating, which explains why Retrieve would not work.

However, I've still got the original 1 Item showing.

Perhaps this is just a PC problem and not an Actinic one.

          This is embarassing!

It's only now dawned on me that I'm using Mozilla Firefox instead of Internet Explorer. No wonder the cookies didn't clear earlier.

          All is now well.
