defualt section name blank after flat file import

    Hello,

Would be grateful for any ideas here. Im importing products from a flat file. each of the products uses a Section|Subsection as required in the 'section name' text. The problem is that actinic is not generating defualt section / subsection page names.

The Actinic help file (Developer 7) reports that:

If you don't supply one [section page name] then Actinic will use a default one of the format:
    'Store_Name_Section_Name_Number.html'

This isnt happening - the page name is left blank and therefore all the links to the sections fail. Please help!

    Thanks,

    Dan.

    Dan,

Have you uploaded the site after doing the flat file import? The section page names are not created within the UI ( need to check as to why ) but the page names are for sure generated and sent up to the web server. Have experimented with this on a default site and works like a charm.

      CSV import...

      Thanks Bruce,

as it stands it shouldnt be a major issue either way, although Im now giving URLs to t the section names within the CSV file - it turns out that this is probably the best way to go as Im working on a Pagination style workaround that requires the filenames, so its best to assign this at the import level anyhow.

      Thanks for your help,

      Dan.
