redirect issues - they came from nowhere!

Don't know if anyone can help me shed some light on this.

I've just finished a site and have had all the domains the customer wants to use redirected to the new site.

To resolve the issue with invalid SSL certificates I've hardcoded all links to the shop & catalogue pages so that they always go to the site using the address the SSL cert is registered to.

Suddenly, when I go from the brochure to the store pages the site is redirecting to a different domain and ignoring my hardcoded link! I know it's there as I can see it at the bottom of the page when I hold the mouse over it. If I type in the full address it works fine

If anyone fancies a challenge and wants to take a look the site can be accessed at www.healthpress.co.uk and the store is accessed from the second button on the left (Bookstore). The Thawte SSL cert is registered under www.fastfacts.com (the major domain for the site) and this is where the bookstore link *should* take you.

    Thanks in advance as always!

      Hi Bill,

thanks for looking. I've checked on every PC in our office and all of them do the same thing yet other people seem to have no problem....

Worked fine for me also - may be a caching issue on your computers?

Out of curiosity why did you put the redirect from healthpress to fastfacts? The healthpress has a very good Google page rank.

          Hiya,

it was all to do with a change of marketing strtegy for the company concerened, keeping existing webiste up & getting SSL certs registered & installed on only 1 domain.... don't ask.... just doing as told!!

Error must be a cacheing or DNS thing. Some people get the error some don't. I seemed to tie it down to one of the perl scripts and the fact the script contains references to referrer urls, which I guess it must get from somewhere! Passed it on to Actinic support (luckily they got the same error) but not heard back yet.
