Problems with Checkout

Hi All
I am testing my checkout...I configured Credi card captured for later processing...when I checkout , I get the following....

page can not be displayed

any help please....thanks

Do you have a secure server set up on localhost? Suggest you set up Invoice with order as a hassle free way of checking that the process completes.

Hi and thanks for your reply. I do not have an SSL server set up on my development PC..I am using Apache and I would probably need to download the Appache SSL patch and compile that to get an SSL Apache Server...phew..
But I did try invoice with order, and it works. up to a point, the cart reaches the Done page and on clicking it appears that the order has gone through..however when I check on the orders there is nothing..no order pending nothing...???

Bruce ..I didnt ..I assumed that the orders will download automatically..but I see what you mean..

Just another issue...I actually developed this site using the dwonload version of actinic ..(and was sent the Key after puchasing developer)..now, should I install actinic from the CD or is it the same as the download..further, I only see master card, visa and switch in the selection ..no amex or diners etc...am I working with the wrong version..should I be working with the US version...
and if I install the Actinic from CD..will it overwrite my sites..I actually dont use site1 but a different site which I created..

Hi Doc,

The downloaded version and the CD are the same, no need to install Actinic again. If you do want to do an install from a CD I would suggest copying out the Site folder to another location and then installing, create a new site in developer with the same name as the one you copied out and paste the contents of the previous site folder to the new site created.

You are working with the correct version of Actinic and do not need the US version. In Business Settings | Payment and Security | click on 'Configure method' to bring up the 'Credit Card Capture Configuration'. under 'Credit Cards Accepted' Click on the + sign to teh upper left and that will create a new row, here you can enter any other card type you would like to add to the default list of 'Visa', 'Master' and 'Switch'.
