    Problems Sigining In with a Customer Account - A General Script Error Occurred

    I'm trying to create a customer account for the first time. I believe that I have successfully created the account. However, when I test the sign-in, I get the following message:

    A General Script Error Occurred

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Error: The requested file (../../index.html) is outside the scope of the script. If you believe the requested page should be served please contact the site operator.
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Press the Browser back button and try again or contact the site owner
    Any clues as to what I'm doing wrong?

    I've tried re-freshing the entire site. But this doesn't help.

      Can you create a test username and password and post back here so that we can take a look at it for you.

        Is there any solution / known bugs / workarounds for this issue? I have a client reporting the same error message about 90% of the time against just 1 users account.

        I have advised a new account be created to see if that resolves but would be handy to know the reason.

          If it was all accounts, I would say the problem was incorrectly set up network settings. The fact it is just one account is rather confising - and points to a corruption with that account - you could just try doing a 'Help | Troubleshooting | Purge and Refresh' and see if that resets the customers correctly.

            Thanks Chris - makes no sense as the rest of the site is working fine as well as the other customer accounts.

            The client is currently on a temporary dial up so have advised to try a new account before a full purge and 5 hour wait
