Hiding the quantity in the cart

To get some extra info into the shopping cart, I have created a component with a £0.00 price thats is not optional so that I can include a product reference number in the cart.

However whilst this is useful for my staff, its not so pleasing for the customers as i have a cart quanity of 1 aginst the product name and also the reference.

eg:

DESCRIPTION___________ QTY

Teddybear ____________ 1 £12.99
Ref: 1234 _____________ 1

The quantity for the non optional components can not be modified in the cart, ideally I would like then hidden.

Anyone know if this is possible????

Go to the knowledge base and search for 'hide component quantities'.

If you want your staff to see the product references you could switch on the option to show them in Catalog (business settings/options tab - uncheck hide product references in catalog). You would then get references displayed in the order details and on the report next to the product description. If the references you want to see are not your Actinic product references you could enable report descriptions (business settings/ options - enable extended report descriptions for reports) and add these references into the description you want to see on the reports you would need to include the original description though because the product description on the report is replaced by the extended description.
