    Flash on my brochure page...

    Hello,

Somebody knows if there is a way of inserting a .swf file (Flash) instead of a .jpeg on my brochure page, for my special offer image?

    thanks for any help,

The easiest way will be to use say Dreamweaver and set up a blank page with the flash item on the page then copy the resulting <object> html code and paste into a text fragment between !!< and >!! so Actinic knows it is HTML and not raw text..... obviously checking the paths to the files are correct

I tried what you said and made a copy of the .swf file in the main site directory as well as in the "PreviewHTML" directory.

It works perfect when I make an offline preview, but it doen't work any longer when I export my site and launch it in my browser...

      Do you understand that?

      Thanks in advance!

Is the movie uploaded to the web server? When I enter the direct URL to the movie http://commerce.ictl.com/special_offer1.swf I get (I assume) a page not found error

You were right : I uploaded the movie with my FTP tool and it works now .

On the other hand, I'm surprised that the .swf file was not automatically uploaded when I updated my site in Actinic (but never mind, now I know!)

          Thanks a lot,

May also be worth adding the .SWF file under Advanced | Additional Files so Actinic knows to upload with the rest of the site

              Thanks for the .swf thread

              Thanks Matperino/Jont

This is exactly the info I have been looking for. Will give it a go myself now.

              Thanks again
