Personalized Photo Gifts

we specialize in personalized products. No problem with offering choice of text etc. but would like to know if it's possible to set up catalog to allow customers to add their photo/graphic to their order. At present we ask customers to send an e-mail with the image attached and then process payment over 'phone. Would make it all the more simpler if they could just add the image as a choice while shopping.
Any suggestions would gratefully rececived
