    Hmm

So nothing will change? It's very misleading to someone who isn't technical, when you get told that these products link up together. I expected it to do it properly. Still doesn't make sense how the US version works, though.

I guess the only solution is for us to decide *why* we need the shoppers all listed individually. I know it's the way our accounts lady searches for things when customers have a query, but maybe we should use Actinic for that, and just leave QB for the basic accounts. I've been looking around your forum today and note that Mole End allows the database details to be exported for selective emailing and label/envelope printing, so maybe we'll go with that, link v7 and QB together for the one "internet shopper" account, and forget the rest? I'll have to talk to others in the team.

By the way, I remember our accounts lady saying that when she did like v7 and QB for a while, the files came in OK, but not as a "sale", they came in as something else which messed her system up. Do you know anything about this, and if we try it again, how we can correct it?

    Thanks for your help

    Val

I have suggested that we try and get the 4000+ members of the forum to petition Intuit to get them to develop/release the Quickbooks API for UK version to allow this integration that we are all clammering for.
So far there were 2 takers!

Number 4 here - if the numbers are right, that's 0.1% of the membership already. This virus is sweeping through the nation almost as quickly as Asian Bird Flu....

                Hi Fergus
                I'll be your no 6!

Does anyone know why this hasn't been released?
How can it be in their interests not to release it?

Just to spread the word that Intuit released the SDK/API for the UK version of quickbooks in Decemeber 2005.

                  Maybe they were listening.

So how can I make use of it?

                      Where can I find it?

                        Here: http://www.developer.intuit.com/

The SDK is for software developers to integrate their software with quickbooks. I doubt if you'll be able to use until actinic does their stuff first.
