If you do a web | Configure website details (whilst ensuring that both checkboxes are unchecked to retain your current settings), does it go through ok? Which if it does, then try the update, but if it fails, what does it fail on?

I have done web > configure web site - i selected SSL + HTTP on one server - but it falls at CGI-BIN Address stage with the message

"and error occured while attempting to change permissions of a file or directory. There was a failure in connecting to the FTP server in an attempt"

however - i have tried 3 times and the test failed at different points - but all with the same permissions errors

      Thanks

Can you post your network settings (username/passwords removed) so we can see if anything looks out of place.

Might also be usefull to say who is hosting it, so others using them might be able to advise.

If it is a windows server ./acatalog/ should be fine, else change to ../acatalog/ and give it a try. Change the Website Url to be without the acatalog bit. What do you have as a SMTP server address? Is it one that was provided by the hosting company?

            Kind regards,

Hi there ...yes its a Window server. and the smtp is 217.69.37.160

SMTP seems to work as does the network Test! I have previously uploaded this web site many a time without any problems using the same settings

What puzzles me is that i cannot get the site generate or upload - when I click the upload icon or do the site refresh - its as if i did not do anything

Can you access the server via an FTP client? If you can, go into the cgi-bins and change permissions on all the scripts to 755, the folder too should be 755. also, in the acatalog folder, select the .fil files and change permissions to 777 and see if you can refresh the site.

                Kind regards,

                    Hello,

I am having the same problem. I went through your post and tried everything suggested here, and it's still not working.

I am not running a windows machine tho.

Do you have any more suggestions?
                    Thanks,

Unfortunately I still cannot upload this site having tried the suggested options. Curiously, I run 3 other Actinic Cataloge and 1 Business licensed sites from the same PC/version of Actinic 7 which i have no uploading issues -

To be honest I am stumped on this. Any further help or ideas are most welcome

Would there be a problem if the .ord files are
                          --w-------
                          permissions?

Also what permissions do the .cats need to be?

                          Thanks,

Vivian - i am sorry i cannot answer your question - i am not sure whether its a server problem - which i doubt or an Actinic configuration (ie business settings) issue
