    I report all competitor sites I find who are using banned techiques. I suggest we all do the same at http://www.google.co.uk/contact/spamreport.html it can only help us all in the long run

      I don't think the problem is with actinic, I manage quite a few sites, many of which are actinic based, many of which are ranking well for their search terms.

      Although Actinic is a parp when it comes to implementing SEO techniques, such as heading tags, page titles etc...

      regarding page titles, try using CUSTOMVAR in the title tag on primary and brochure primary templates to add more keywords to the page titles, ensure the site name comes at the end of the apge title and dont over do it (1 sentence or say 5 or 6 words)

      check you keyword density using a keyword density analyser (there's loads of them, just search) and check your competitions too. You may be over doing it on 'prescription', 'spectacles' & 'glasses', and therefore could be suffering a penalty for these terms.

      at the end of the day, page content and in bound links is what helps.

        Your site was only registered Feb 2005. Its a young site.Its probably in the sandbox..you need to be patient for few months and do the right thing and will see it climb out...
