Product ref/code

Hi,

1. Is it possible to show products code with the product title?
2. Can I edit the product reference what actinic creates automatically?
3. I also want to show the weight, is there any simple way of doing it?

1 & 2. View / Business Settings / Options -> uncheck Auto Ggenerate Product Reference.

3. Not sure. Perhaps someone else will know.

Thanks for your reply. Well, my current product codes are only digits e.g. Ref: 123; can I change it to Ref: UN123 etc. and apply automatically to all my existing products?

You'd may have to go manually through your Products and change them one by one - this is the safest way.

Alternatively, if you're feeling brave you could try exporting your Site - this creates a text file containing all the data - the using some editing to detect and replace all reference fields.

If you're feeling very brave you could try tinkering with the tables in ActinicCatalog.mdb but the product reference is used in many tables so this may be very hard to do thouroughly.

In any event take a snapshot and backup all of Site1 before doing anything, just in case.
