    Page Preview Problem

If I have a product selected on the content tree I am unable to see a preview of the page in the page preview window. Also if I use the preview page icon at the top, actinic opens IE showing all the code rather than the compiled preview. However if I use the preview catalog icon, everything is ok.

I can only see a preview of the page if I have a section selected.

I'm sure it wasnt like this when it was first installed...? any ideas? I've attached a screenshot of actinic.

Have you tried purging the browser cache? It may be a corrupt file in there causing the issues.

I think I may have the answer. My catalog's base page name has an shtml extension to allow for a webcounter. This is effecting the way actinic compiles the preview windows.

Is there any way to get around this problem and have actinic recognise shtml files?

We support SHTML file extensions but the file with the product is a normal
HTML file. Incidentally the difference between previewing a section and previewing a product is that the URL anchor is added to the URL for product preview.

Actinic uses the Catalog base page as the preview page name regardless of the requested file name, this is working as designed. However if the file type does not allow a target the preview fails. The only possible workaround will be for the purposes of preview, to set the base page to HTML, then change to SHTML before upload.

          Kind regards,
