Paypal & Missing Orders

I have Developer 7.0.4 and have noticed something for the first time today. Two customers complained about non receipt of orders payed for by Paypal in October.

On further investigation I noticed that the orders don't exist in any part of our Actinic although the previous and next order numbers do exist. Payments for the amounts were credited to our paypal account so does anyone have any idea of what is happening here.

The potential for us gaining a bad trading reputation is there for all to see if these two open disputes are anything to go by.

There could be several reasons why orders are skipped, but this is a rare instance. Do you remember downloading and facing an issue and having to abort the order download? That could have caused the order files to be renamed on the server. Try having a look at the error log and see if there is anthing mentioned in there on the dates mentioned. You will find the error log in the acatalog fiolder on the server, else in a browser, http://www.yourdomainname.co.uk/acatalog/error.err and it should bring up the error file.
