password protection

Hi

How can I create a password to open my actinic shop? I back everything up externally etc but I am concerned that should my laptop be stolen, someone can tamper with my actinic site.

You would be better setting up a password at the BIOS level (during boot up) so the whole machine is locked down

If your motherboard supports it check during boot up for a message such as "press F2 to access set up" ... the actual key will vary but it should tell you during boot up F2 and ESC are the common ones (or check the handbook) .. that will take you into the BIOS area which sets up the hard drive etc. If available it will be in there.

Be very careful as to what you change and don't forget the password at any cost!

You can also purchase software that installs and runs at a low level which can do the same thing
