Diesign - Different Design Layouts

Hi All

Can anyone tell me if this this possible please?

I want to give different layouts for different areas of the site for example when a client clicks on ‘products’ I would like a nav bar on the left with links to all the products, if they click ‘services’ then the nav bar will contain all the links to the different service etc. My main problem is that I’m getting confused (coz its been a while) as to which Primary templates do what and how I should link the new templates.

I did checkout previous postings but couldn’t find the answer.

Hope this makes sense.

Edit the Act_Primary.html template to move the nav bars etc and save as Act_Primary2.html (or whatever) and then at the section level you want to change under the Layout Tab select your new template against "overall layout"

If you are wanting the NAV bar to change the content you will need to hardcode the links.

Whats the difference between the Brochure and Main Primary templates?

The Act_BrochurePrimary handles the brochure pages (aptly enough) whilst the Act_Primary.html handles just about everything else other than the cart area which is handled by Act_PrimaryCheckout.html

Sorry I know i should know this but do I understand that Brochure pages are not in the actual online shop area?

Just trying to refresh my memory as to what does what ;-)

The Brochure pages are the Front or Home of the site and display the additional information, like special offers and the welcome address to the site. You are spot on there..
