fragment colums not working

i implemented the code i found in the knowlage base Ref: CD529 but it generated script errors, aswell as pushing the cell i have on the right off and down.
is there any other way i can get fragments in colums on the home page.

I think I wrote that patch. It should work. Without seeing a page it will be impossible to say what's wrong.
