    Lost Actinic on "programs"

I have two version 6 licences in stalled on a lap top. Two days ago I switched to BT Business Broadband and subscribed to their firewall and anti virus, which I downloaded upon setting up the BB. All worked fine, until we decided to add another user account to the computer, basically made an error and needed to use the system restore, anyway to cut a long storey short, it wouldn’t work, ..I contacted Microsoft and they sorted it out for me, restored original setting etc.

Except when I went to take a look at my Actinic sites the desktop icon had gone, so too had the program listing on the menu.

I went to the program files and found Actinic file, opened it and tried to restore it from there, but got a message saying something along the lines “cant locate original registry”

Is there a fix that will return the Actinic to my desk top – as I said all the files are present but I don’t know what to do.

I have XP pro version 2002

Copy your site1 and all its contents to a safe location on your hard disk, then reinstall Actinic, including patches back to the same version as you were previously on, then copy the old site1 back, overwriting the new one inside Actinic.

Before you do this, make sure you have the security information you need including your Actinic key. If you do not have this, contact Actinic support (by phone if you have paid support, by email if you do not) directly for further help.

      Many thank Bill.

I thought I had done it correctly, but not so.

In the prog files I have the re-installed Actinic and if I open "sites" one of my sites appears pasted.

But when I open Actinic all I see is the default catalogue. Also if I open " sites" there is two "site 1" folders - I have tried deleting, re naming but to be honest an out of my depth.

Up date - went out for a bit, so turned off computer, upon my return and restarting the computer, my sites re-appeared as originals, so I assume a restart was required?

Anyway downloaded some oreders as Ive been off line for a few days and encountered a new problem which I will post.
