    Invalid cc no.

    hi
This is a detail of the problem I have ..
    1. Business settings:
Credit Card details captured for later Processing
    2. SSL : Off
Getting the following error when I enter a cc no. on checkout...

    3. Payment Method
Credit Card Number:is an invalid number.

    Thanks

I have been able to sort this out...aparently Actinic has an internal check on possible valid number formats..It is country specific...I personally think this should not be coded inside actinic and should be left to the card processor or the processing gateway...any views?...

Are you sure about the country specific bit? Actinic will check for the right number of digits according to the card type and do a checksum validation. As far as I know these are universal.

        Hi
No I am not sure but I refer you to this thread..I was only able to process the test order with the 4444 no. It would not accept my number:

The ability to have a couple of standard card numbers that actinic will let through is very useful - although how you are suppoose to know what those numbers are is more difficult.

          i tend to use 1111222233334444

          or 6 zeros

the number of invalid numbers that will be let through needs to be limited otherwise the whole validation module will be compromised

            HI
I actually used my own cc no. with just the last digit changed, because it was a test ...both visa and amex but it didnt work..so i tried this 4444 no. and it worked..that is why I assumed there maybe some country specific processing there...

I was half way through typing a cheeky jibe at my mother's maiden name but knowing my luck she will stumble across this site and all hell would break loose... forget credit cad security... I'm not telling in the interests of self preservation

It looks more like me that I do!

It was on the back of a birthday card and my 4 year old spotted it and shouted out "Its Jonty"
