Multiple Orders

What could be causing me to get multiple orders from customers.
When I download my orders, I could have anywhere from 2 as much as 7 orders from one person.
I know that going back in your browser may cause this periodically but not with just about every customer.

A stab in the dark, but what is trhe expiry setting on your cookies?

Have you done a test order yourself? We had a similar problem recently and when we checked, the Receipt Confirmation page was hanging and eventually timing out, which was causing anxious buyers to hit the the final 'buy' button again and again...

...turned out the reason the receipt page wasn't showing quickly was our email server was being problematic (well, 'down' actually!) and theres some connection between the reciept confimation page and the smtp servers.

Another shot in the dark that might help!

I think you are right about the server issue.
I have been having way too many problems with my current Hosting provider.

Interesting enough, I am not too sure it is a mail server issue here.
I can log into the server to retreive and send mail but Actinic fails on a Advanced Network Test.

Anyone else experience this problem?

An external connection to read and write mail is not the same as on server mail handling. Which host are you with? Have you done a forum search on the host name to see if this is a common problem with that host?

Bill,
I just sent an email to support asking them if they are now disallowing test scripts. I have just recently not been able to complete a test. Host Excellence is the Hosting provider.
