can we have a general forum too. sometimes a thread doesn't relate to a version. for example the question about search engines in this forum

Use Ecommerce Business Issues forum!

Something wrong with the 'Ecommerce Business Issues' forum? Perhaps that section needs a better promo? Right now it says " For discussion of all ecommerce related business issues including Fraud, Online Payment, Shipping, Promotion, Marketing etc." Perhaps we should add "and other non-version related topics".

Of course it's also up to us, the members, to make sure we post our messages to the correct forum. I mean, even THIS discussion is happening in the wrong forum. Can the administrator move message threads from one forum to another if they appear in the wrong one, Chris? Somehow I'm doubtful!

I was put offthe ecommerce forum by its description, but yes it would be better.

I posted to thi forum because i could find anywhere more appropriate! Which is my point..

We have meetings every week about the forums to discuss improvements etc. We will look at this issue at the next one. Bear in mind the forums have only been live for 24 hours so it will take a little while for things to settle down.
